Out of the total number of participants who took part in the survey across Asia, Singapore had the most respondents in the survey with 224, while Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, and India had fewer respondents. This could suggest that the design industry in these countries may not be as developed as in Singapore, or that the topic of salary and compensation for designers is not as widely discussed or prioritised.

Gender insights
Over half of the survey respondents in Asia were women (53.9%), which highlights the need to address gender inequality in the design industry.

Gender x age group

In terms of age, the majority of respondents (37.8%) are around 31-35 years old. More than half of the respondents identified as male, and around 44% identified as female. This indicates that there is a diverse range of age groups working in design positions in Asia.
